Are Pouring & Stamping Curved Concrete Walkways Difficult?
#EverythingAboutConcrete #MikeDayConcrete
This video shows you how we pour and stamp a curved concrete walkway or sidewalk. This is the front walkway to this house. The owners wanted stamped concrete to look like random stones.
We used grey integral colored concrete and a black antiquing agent to achieve the finished look.
Before we got our Poly Meta Forms (the flexible ones) we used these white Azek boards to form curves. They do work good but they're really expensive to purchase. Now, we use the flexible 4" Poly Meta Forms to form up all our curved concrete walkways and patio slabs.
The access on this job wasn't great. As you'll see, we decided to wheelbarrow the concrete because we didn't want to damage the front lawn and there wasn't a lot of concrete here. I didn't feel a line pump was needed for a couple reasons. One, the cost of it and two, haveing to deal with the clean-out afterwards.
If you want to learn how to do curved stamped concrete walkways like this one, join The Concrete Underground below and I can help you with my training videos about concrete.

Living On A Lake - DIY Basement Concrete Floor Pour (Do What We Do!)

#EverythingAboutConcrete #MikeDayConcrete We're pouring and finishing a concrete floor for a walk-out basement today. This job is on a beautiful lake in central Maine. The way we pour concrete floors like this is basically the same for every one of our floor pours. The steps we take to pour, screed, level, and bull float a floor is how we make pouring these floors easy, in my opinion. Now if yo...

Great video. I tried the xylene this weekend and it looked good when laced but when it dried I seen all of the grey /dry spots re appear. I think it needs to be stripped and re applied. I’m going to purchase your recommended stealer from Amazon. I noticed after applying the xylene after 2 days it feels crunchy when walked on it . I’m going to strip and remove it asap.

If you build a garage door lip you don't have to shape anything in by hand you just lay it down with a MAG and edger you pull the board and you broom it much easier

I really loved your video on laying concrete over concrete. What I want to know is do you have to mechanically rough up the concrete before applying the second layer, or will Weld Crete be sufficient. I plan on putting a layer of concrete over a 14 ft x 20 ft patio slab. I want to add a grade to it so one end will be 3 in thick and possibly one inch or less at the other end. I don't need to finish the concrete because I will be tiling over it. Or, could I just add a thicker layer of mortar when laying the tile in lieu of adding a layer of concrete? The patio is similar to a garage in that it has a wall on each side and a sliding patio door on the other end. I want to grade it from the sliding patio door to the open end to drain onto the lawn. I'm just wondering what your thoughts on this are would be. Thanks

When coating garage floors or pole barn floors, do you always use the same primers and top coats? I saw where someone asked you what products you used and you sent them a website. Could you type the product you use here? I didn’t know what I should be looking for. Thank you
